For all new patients we obtain a medical and surgical patient history, including medications prescribed which will be recorded at the first appointment.  We also perform an initial foot assessment to determine vascular and neurological status of the feet.

Our routine footcare appointments include the treatment and consultation of any of the following conditions when appropriate:

• Conservative ingrown toenail management and discussion of nail surgery options if appropriate
• Callus (hard skin) removal
• Corn removal
• Verruca diagnosis and discussion of treatment options
• Application and massage of a recommended cream for your skin/foot type
• Letters to GPs, Hospitals or private prescriptions are included subject to time taken

Our routine footcare appointments typically lasts up to 45-minutes and includes the treatment and consultation of any of the following conditions when appropriate:

• General Nail cutting

• Corn removal
• Verruca diagnosis and discussion of treatment options

Existing patients will have their details checked regularly and assessments repeated as required.

Within your Verruca Assessment Appointment we are able to diagnose Verruca's and and advise what treatment options are available that would be suitable for you taking into account your age, medication and how stubborn / widespread the Verruca's are.

We currently offer 3 type of treatment .

Salicylic  acid,  silver nitrate or Verrutop

1) An application of Salicylic Acid  is applied to the Verrucae and dressed. This will need to be re-applied every 2 weeks for at least three further treatments at the clinic. At the end of the three treatments we will carry out an assessment of the verrucae.

2) Application of Silver Nitrate (95%) to the Verrucae and dress. The Silver Nitrate (95%) will turn brownish in colour and form a crust. We would ask you to keep the area dry and again we will need to see you every 2 weeks to re-apply for at least three further treatments.

3) Verrutop is a new type of verruca/wart treatment. Unlike Cryotherapy or other chemical treatments, Verrutop does not act by freezing or burning the tissue. Instead it denatures the viral protein and desiccates the wart tissue, which then falls off the skin, leaving intact skin underneath.  Verrutop is suitable for ages 6 and above.  We need to see you every 2 weeks for at least three further treatments.

If you choose to take either of the above treatments within the appointment you pay for the treatment only, as the cost of appointment is included within the treatment price. 

Verrutop is £50 per session

Trimming and filing of the toe nails & finger nails if required.  

Please note this is not a beauty treatment.

These appointments are for existing clients for either a quick nail trim, single simple corn removal or other small treatments.
